Road Map
As life and work-for-a-living happens, the road map is a little bit out of target,
More or less, this is the road map,
- Complete the basics of data layout during October (was March), 2007
- Scheduling, patient demographics, users, and billing with x12 generation in about 2-3 months, meaning December
- Practice management in about a month more, meaning being able to track receivables
- Have a working electronic chart in about 2 months more
- Have a comprehensive e-chart, along with form editing tool in about 2 months more
- Hl7 messages (i.e. e-lab results) is about 1 month
- Integrating Asterisk phone server with medical records, about one more month
- Fully deploy a push server for upgrades and remote maintenance (Saint Capistrano of course), one more month
Other Stuff on the periscope
- Central data repository for research. Meaning all clinics in the system can push their info (without identity) to a central repository in order to run queries for research purposes
- Patient interface to the system. Although very easy to code, might not be one click to implement at the practice level due the security that must be in place, i.e. mandatory firewall, second computer for this app and stuff like that
- Patient education links
